Rappan Athuk | Dungeon of Graves (Inactive)

Game Master Valdast

Major Areas:
Zelkor's Ferry
Located to the West of Rappan Athuk, the hamlet is an effective base of operations for a starting party. With a few shops that have a leaning towards adventurers, and a local inn to care for injured party members, it is a fine beginning.

Locations:
Bristleback's Inn: Costs 1 gp per night, and sells food.
The Stable: Occasionally sells horses, though they make most of their business caring for those of travelers.
Blacksmith: Run by Big Morgan, he sells horseshoes and various other items, though he can be contracted to make weapons or armor as well.
Barracks: The guards hired by Odo Bristleback stay here, and are in charge of protecting the town from any intruders, such as kobolds or goblins.
Rasmus Pye's Trading Post: A general store, where Rasmus is able to buy and sell most any mundane item. However, magical items are rare, though he may have a few in stock from time to time.
The Necromancer: Not the home of one who would raise the dead, this building is held by Ulman Dark. He is a healer, of sorts, able to cure diseases in addition to poisons and other maladies. It is also rumoured that he is able to try and raise the dead (as raise dead), though he does not confirm or deny that ability.
The Ferry: Run by Gutmark, he can be hired to sail you along the river. However, most of his time is spent fishing and providing for his family.

Spoiler:
Hallowfell: A Chaotic Good country that is lead by a powerful Wizard. This is the man who has hired you, his name being Venthraine. Hallowfell is somewhat distrusted by the other major countries, as some of the more recent actions by Hallowfell's military and "special forces" have caused significant collateral damage and also has a large amount of tension.

Four other countries are on the continent, with the continent being dominated by Neutral countries. Monstrous races are mostly pacified, with occasional skirmishes occuring from the more nomadic groups. A lot of tension rests between the monstrous races and the more peaceful races, especially in the eastern lands where most of the Orcish tribes have moved to.

Most of the main races are used to each other, though the stigma against Half-Orcs and full-blooded Orcs still exists, primarily due to the still extant violent tribes. Being favoured by Rovagug's Clergy and by a few other Evil deities, they have managed to avoid destruction.

Incursions from the Outer Planes are rare, as nothing particularly of interest existing on the planet that mortals know of. However, both the fiendish and celestial races do take cursory trips here, and occasionally one of the two races will provoke the other and cause some fighting. There are few strongholds of Good and Evil, though the Chaos and Law are much less existent on this planet.
